What does AIS 140 mean?
Automotive Industry Standard-140 or AIS-140 is the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) that the government of India have designed to optimize and secure the efficiency of the transport system in India. This design has been proven worldwide to enhance the use of the present transport foundation up to its optimum ability which helps to improve the transport system in its efficacy, value, safety and security. The implementation of AIS 140 is being done all over the country.
Who should use the AIS 140 GPS Tracker?
AIS140 is the latest inclusion in the automotive industry standards in the Intelligent Transport System (ITS). GSM Interference Detection
There is a risk of losing the GPS signal in remote areas, while under the tunnel inside the mountain or due to natural weather patterns. Under such situations, our devices will inform the fleet manager through the GSM network with a frequency band of 900/1800 or 850/1900 Mhz.
Thus, the vehicle will always be visible and there is no chance of misuse or theft of the vehicle greatly enhancing the safety of the passengers or other valuables onboard.
